Whale Shoot -> Basham Beach -> Sun 6 Sep. 2009

We will start at Basham Beach at 11am, but may end up at Victor Harbor - depending on sightings

See how we go for time, may investigate 'Basham Beach Recreation Park', 105 bird species:

And 'Yes' I do know that it is Father's Day, and I prefer to go out shooting 8)

Nice gull in flight. Here are some windsurfers that were enjoying the day.

Pity the whales were elusive ,
great seagulls nice lines and ex exposure, and the 400 has worked a treat with the windsurfers great framing and action - I don't usually get to see them that close let alone count the water drops
Well done guys

Deb, there were plenty of whales 12 in all - they were just resting though so it was limiting as to what type of photos we could take. Here is a small sample all shot at 800mm.

WOW nice whales guys I'm glad they were out and about and the water looks sensational - a much better day than it appeared it was here in town.
Make sure you enter a selection in the comp ..
