Adelaide Dinner

Postby DebT on Fri Apr 25, 2008 11:29 pm

OK if it' good enough for the Melbourne 'boys' to get together don't see why Adelaide can't do the same .
Happy to organise something if enough interest .. so here goes

Friday 30th May, Fonta De Trevi, Pirie St Adelaide .. meals are nice, price (under $20) and city venue easy to get to by public transport

We could run a theme with a mini competition on the night ... a specified theme (to be decided) .. we all bring 1 8X10 shot as entry, display on a board, everyone gets 1 vote ...a quick judging, and maybe even a prize or two if I can find someone to donate something.

I can probably get one of the camera reps (Canon, Nikon, or one of the larger shops) to come along and show us the latest and greatest or give a couple of mini freebies?

Probably just an excuse to get together over a couple of drinks but who knows could be fun.
Let me know if your interested

Well, I would love to come but I play netball on a Friday night and couldn't get to Adelaide in time (plus coach on a Saturday morning). If it was a Saturday night I could make it. Sounds like a good idea. Will probably be the usual suspects!

DebT - sounds good to me. I can work with Friday or Saturday, but I would prefer Friday night.

Sounds good - I haven't been to the Trevi for years!

I'm assuming it's Saturday, that would be easier for me (well, us - Mrs. D will come along also :D )

Not sure how I'll go with the themed 10x8 though - time might be a little short for that.

Cheers

Have you got another new job? I hope they haven't kicked you out of the Warooka pub already!!

I resigned mate i was working 7 days a week for 5 days a week pay
they now have to pay me for 20 days off owed after only 3 months
in 3 months i only had 4 days off
which they are trying to get out of paying
have industrial relations onto it lol
I start @ the Tanunda hotel as chef on Wednesday
I took lots of shots on the wedding day
the rain made this very hard as did the dwindiling light the wedding was @ 4 pm
Plus only a small rotunda for the formal shots
i will post some images for pp in the next few days
even though they are friends they insisted on paying me
i told them what they paid was up to them
for the shoot & pp only no prints they paid me $500 so i was happy with that & i have 3 weeks to pp as they are on their honeymmon to tasmanuia for 3 weeks 7 i have their permission to post images on here & our 4x4 site explore oz

Not sure Virgs, we can either bring them or get mum and dad to pick them up from your way. Kiana has netball in Waikerie at 12pm on Saturday so won't get away from there until 1.30ish.
