Newbie living in Adel - just saying hi

Hi everyone

Im new to this website so thought I would introduce myself to fellow camera and photo enthusiasts, especially the ones living in Adelaide. I am the proud owner of a D90 and I am having lots of fun experimenting and learning :-)

Welcome Cathy, a couple of us are going to the Adelaide Zoo on friday arvo after work as they are having a Halloween special, so the zoo will be open till 8.30 pm. You are welcome to bring you and your partner along to join us...

Hello Cathy and welcome to the forum. Lot's to learn and look at on here with great people who like to do all sorts of photography and very skilled at that so always someone around to answer any questions etc that you may have so with the Adelaide tribe and the get togethers now and then is all fun.

Hi Cathy and welcome

Whilst I dont get along to the get togethers that Big V, Fozzie and the other Adelaidians kindly organise, I can vouch for the expert help and friendly assistance that they provide for all us newbies to the DSLR world.

Get along and pick their brains and you will learn really quickly - and save a lot of time and money along the way as well as meeting some interesting characters!!

If the work, sport and family stars align this Friday I may even get along to the zoo to catch up again with the crew!

This site is wonderful, everyone is so friendly! The zoo meet sounds like a great thing to be a part of!! Where do we meet? My bf has just purchased a D700 and we are eager to play and experiment and the zoo would be perfect, especially with some experts about!!

welcome to the team , I may catch at the zoo this week but a bit tricky as my Son is having a Halloween party ....but the zoo open at sunset is hard to resist ..may give them a ring to see if they are still putting the cats away at the usual time or if they will be out and about ..
either way sure we will catch up soon
Sure you will enjoy the 'guys' company' the ones I bump into are all perfect gentelmen and great conversation

Hmm, I might even make the zoo. 700 & the 300 on a pod should do.. Except I have the son tagging along so am sure he will tear off making shooting impossible... :cry:
