Camera body cleaning - Nikon

Postby tommyg on Mon Nov 02, 2009 11:04 am

Does anybody know where you can take your bodies for a full clean etc?

figured after 2 months travelling (and seeing a couple of bunnies), that it might be a good idea to get the sensors cleaned, and knowing my luck - if I try myself I will end up with a bunny shaped like a long scratch

Cheers

Adelaide Technical Camera Service on Halifax Street will do a sensor clean for you, but it isn't difficult to do yourself either.

Tom,

My advice would be to buy the kit and do it yourself. It is not difficult, and as well it will save you time and money in the long run.

I am willing to conduct a Sensor Cleaning clinic at the Nifty Fifty Challenge at Deb's place this month. I will provide all the cleaning eqipment. If you want to participate, please bring your Camera Manual and a fully charged battery.

When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.

that would be great, we'll be there!

Luckily for us, we currently have 2 50mm lenses - was going to put one up for sale, but will wait til after the challenge day!
