New on here!

Postby ivision on Mon Oct 20, 2008 12:13 pm

Hello all...just registered here and relatively new to DSLR. Can't believe there are so many other Melburnians on here...for the most part I'm focusing on motorsport photography...its my passion but occassionally I will shoot other things as well. Equipment is basic like my budget Canon 400d with 18-55mm IS and 55-250mm IS lens. I'd like to get a wide angle lens but have not idea what to get and $$$ is a bit of an issue as well...i've got a few shots online at

I hope to learn alot from this forum.

Cheers Craig

Welcome aboard mate. Do yourself a favour and check out the Canon 10-22mm F3.5-4.5 USM. I have just returned from travelling around Europe for a month and 99% of the time you would either find the 10-22 or my 24-105 F4 on the Camera. It takes a little getting used to, and it may not be the fastest @ F/4.5, but i think its still a great lens.
