Dawesy decided he'd help me set up the Paul's brollies and we'd have a quick sessions mucking around with dual SB-800s, unfortunately knucklehead here didn't bring D200 batteries, so I was shooting with the D70 that did the job well.

Anways shot 1, Dawesy was attempting to hide his identity.

Little did he know that he couldn't hide from dual SB-800s BAM!

And finally a more pensive moment.. he was too close to the brollie on the RHS so I've kept the image bright.

Edit : Added another darker version for review.

Good stuff Craig!
I like the very obvious contrast from images one and two. The SHB as a background also gives a very corporate type feel to it.

I agree that in the last one, whilst it's a great B&W conversion -the right side of Dawsey's face is too bright.

Craig, these are great efforts with the lighting. There is sufficient contrast to make the images 'pop' without being unflattering. As you and Geoff said, the last one is a little bright.

Cheers

Craig

#2 is superb. the light, while artifical, has a natural feel to it.

The B & W needs to be half way between your two versions IMHO (ie dodge the left and burn the right or do a grad ND across the frame right to left)
