Brand spanking new Fuji 90mm

I was down to 2 lenses, the Fuji 18-55mm and 35mm, the former an excellent lens, the later sublime. Was that enough for my modest photographic talents? More than enough. However the shiny bright advertising of the new 90mm F2 lens was too much and I found a shiny new copy of the new Fuji weatherproofed portrait lens last weekend and voila, here she be. Just a few shots of the missus as I couldn't find a duck. These are jpg, (sharpening -2, noise reduction -2) unprocessed by me with regards to Portrait Professional, sharpening, colour correction etc. I did shoot one raw file but I can't be bothered processing it. I'm too used to Fuji jpg's. Oh, and as soon as we started shooting it began to rain. That's Coffs for you. Beautiful one day - flooding the next.

I must add, the rendering of this lens is spectacular. Focal length will be the question as opposed to the 56mm, but for image quality it is excellent, IMHO.

Looks really good. I'll definitely be getting one but my next expedition is Nikon so it will have to wait.

Wow, it certainly looks as good as the rumours made it out to be! Very nice. I have the 56mm and it too is a stunning lens. We're coming up there end of next month (heading up north for the kids annual holiday), if your free let me know, would love to catch up for a coffee / hot choc. I will be bringing up all my gear.... which when compared to all my old Nikon gear is tiny, compact and light in comparisons. More room in the car this year!! :)

Love the quality of the 90mm. I must say i have lens envy!!

Awesome. I'll PM you contact details. Maybe we could have a mini meet. You can try out the 90mm. Robyn will bring the muffins. I hope.

"...modest photographic talents?"

I like the word modest in your introductory paragraph. It looks a very nice lens addition. I prefer the close up in you first portrait. The second photo is also very good. You seem to have a very patient wife; I hope she likes modelling.

She is patient but no, she hates modelling. However, she would rather model for me than having to hire a blonde etc. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
