POTW 14-6-2016

Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. POTW 14-6-2016

Postby Matt. K on Tue Jun 14, 2016 11:29 pm

This image by TonyT wins this week, though the city at night image by bigsarge7 came very close. Two very fine images but I chose this image because the composition is just perfect. The subject big in the frame and hits you right in the face, demanding your attention. The POV exactly where it should be. The colours perhaps slightly too vivid for my taste but then, even in B&W this photograph would work. Congrats to TonyT and congrats to bigsarge7 for posting an image that made this weeks selection a hard job.

Superb image with colours that leap off the screen. T'would make a superb large canvas/print and should be in a gallery somewhere.

Thanks Matt for the kind words, but I totally agree this is Potw. I loved the colours and the textures in the image, the composition and angles captured are simply amazing, it certainly makes me as a photographer think about the composition of images more, as this image could have been taken and made to look awkward.... But it was nailed in this image! So well done! I agree with ozi get it printed large!!
