recommend a free stock photo site?

Postby gleff on Sat Dec 09, 2006 11:18 pm

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a website for FREE stock photo's.

I want a large variety, and they need to be free.

Any recommendations?

Thanks
Geoff

What did you need them for Geoff - and what types?

I was after them so I can polish up on my photoshop skills. Initially, i'm after people photos so I can practice my hair extractions etc. but would like all varieties so I can practice selections etc.

I just don't have the variety from my own collection. :)

Presuming you're not going to use them commercially (or possibly even if you are), flickr is your friend.

You can even tell it to only show you photos covered by a "Creative Commons" which means you're pretty much free to do what you want with them, as long as you attribute the author where relevent.

Ummm hopefully the above poster won't go and rip off DA images like so many many others have done...

And no, DA isn't the end all be all of course.
