Now this is a bargain

Postby ozimax on Tue Jun 04, 2013 2:51 pm

Dropped in to Tricky Dickies today to try and find a replacement iphone cable and happened to peruse the camera stand. There was a nice little Japanese made Canon Ixus 230HS on sale for $51, reduced from $200. I enquired as to its cheapness and was told that it was a returned/refurbished model. I needed a camera to keep in the glovebox of my bomb Subaru, which doesn't lock too securely at the best of times. I said I would take a chance with the camera, seeing it has a full 12 months Canon warranty. I took the box to the front counter. Another surprise awaited; "This one has a further 50% discount!" Great value at $25.

Sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time. :D :D

How can you go wrong with that?

The bloody memory card costs more than the camera!

Just trying to balance the times I've been mercilessly ripped off by retailers/manufacturers over the years! :)

You're not expecting to get there anytime soon, right? :)

Quick shot of daughter #2 at ISO 1600. Not too bad for the cheapest of cameras, albeit with Digic 4 processor.
