I went back to the lighthouse in This thread to try for a better shot, I was looking for a cleaner image with good clouds in the sky
so I headed over late Saturday afternoon to get better light than what was available when I took the first shot at midday last week
When I arrived I was greeted by a clear blue sky without any clouds
10 minutes later luck was with me and the clouds started to form and after a further 10 minutes this is the result, 5 minutes later the clouds had merged into a flat boring lifeless blanket (it is all about timing)
C&C most welcome

I like this photo a lot. It is a lot clearer and sharper ( in my opinion) than your previous shot of the same scene. The clouds above it are awesome, and I think the composition is great.
Well done.

Cracker shot Keith. That's a great example of the value in revisiting a place to get the perfect image.

I like it a lot. I find the lower right hand slightly distracting, however the photo is great and would look even better in larger format.

I still prefer the 1st Firsty, but thats just me.
It had a darker feel to it and more eeriness about it.
This is good though.

Very dramatic shot Keith! I'm guessing there was a fair bit of PP involved in this too? This would make a fine large print.

Great shot Keith,
love it. Did you PP the light in the lighthouse?
Great photo, as others said, it would look great printed big.
Cheers,
André

Great scary feel to the pic but for me the sky overpowers the lighthouse somewhat.
Maybe you could make the sky a little less sharp to focus attention on the lighthouse?

The cloud field has a real defined edge to it and, to me, it make the lighthouse look as if it's a model sitting in a box and you've taken the shot with the camera sitting in the box looking out ... does that make sense?
The whole scene looks a little dark to me for my taste - but a great shot non the less.

Nice one Keith, like the cloud formation, though I would have preferred it if they weren't so dark as to blend a little with the sky - perhaps a lighter treatment of the clouds would work better.
Also agree with adame about getting rid of the lower right fence area.
