This week we spend a few days at the beach and during an evening walk I saw a rock being mercilessly battered by the incoming tide. I noticed with endless fascination how the water splashed and formed myriads of capricious shapes for a fraction of the second and quickly vanished, each shape was different. It then occurred to me a person is the same. Each person is shaped and cracked differently by the relentless tide of life and the countless and multi shaped experiences we live through, each situation eventually disappearing like those shapes ...

I took his week's picture while I was having a coffee at a coffee shop. I liked the image reflected in the building across the street. I hope you like it.

I took this picture in Norway in 2019. It's the first time and it will possibly be the last I ever traveled that far north. We disembarked at Kirkenes, very close to the Russian border, and traveled by land to another port to catch the boat on the way back south. This bus trip along narrow and winding roads allowed us to admire the northern grass vegetation and see the fjords from another perspective. I hope you like it.

Some times a quick look at the sky is all you need to comprehend how powerless you are against nature. I took this picture a few years ago, but it just caught my eye. I hope you like it.

I took it in India when we visited a salt mine in 2010. Hard work under an unforgiving sun. I hope you like it.

The motorised bicycle was becoming popular in the early 1900s, but the positioning of a passenger in relation to the cyclist had not been quite decided yet. The Belgian company Minerva came out with a 2 HP 239 cc side valve with Mills and Fulford fore-car frame in 1903. This contraption could cruise at 30 km/h and was capable of a top speed of 50 km/h. I hope you like the photo of this week, which I took at the GOMA motorcycle exhibition early this year.

I took this picture of the hotel we were staying at in Perth two years ago. I found the lighting and lines interesting.

A couple of weeks ago we traveled to the Red Centre of Australia. You have possibly seen the iconic film 'The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' in which three people climb a hill in high heels dressed in feathers as if they were to perform at the Moulin Rouge. Well, they climbed to the top of Kings Canyon in the Northern Territory of Australia. Two of us did just that with a backpack each containing two liters of water. Mine, loaded with camera gear was 6kg heavy. We climbed what the locals call the "Heart Attack Hill" ( ...

This question is for wedding photographers.

I am in the middle of restructuring my business. I have been offering wedding photography for the last 14 years. I see more and more brides and grooms want the same service provider to provide photo AND video. I have started offering both.

I am just wondering whether some of you started offering video, as well, as photography and share some of their experiences? Any pitfalls I need to pay attention?

Some weddings, I am planning to shoot myself and some weddings I am planning to shoot as a photograp ...

Caught these colourful King Parrot pair (George and Mildred?) pilfering Robyn's cherry tomatoes late this afternoon. They were gorging themselves on the seeds and actually stayed still long enough for me to fire off some shots with the E-M1x. (18fps sounds great until you have to wade through the files afterwards!) They eventually flew off into the sunset, their little bellies full.

I took this picture last week during our visit to Cairns and its environs. It's the portrait of a local celebrity in the Daintree. His is affectionately known as Scarface and like its namesake the famous American gangster, Al Capone, is the master of its territory and someone not to be trifle with. I hope you like it.

Self portraits are really confronting, especially when you have a face like mine, tailor-made for radio! :rotfl2:

Anyway, here's an off the cuff portrait from this morning. Actually I had no intention of photographing as I was busy doing a live zoom meeting, but after that was finished I thought I'd fire off a few shots seeing I had the room all set up. Single LED (5600K) through small softbox. Fuji X-s10 + 10-24 F4 super wide angle lens. It's not ...
