This rock art is approximately 4000 years old and represents the cloud spirits. Our tour guide told us the art is so old that predates the local indigenous in the area. It seems to represent the creator being Wunngurr, a being similar to the Rainbow Serpent in other Aboriginal peoples' beliefs. I thought they could have been painting aliens. Perhaps I watch too many Sci-Fi shows.

I took this pictures just before the storm arrived from my balcony last night. We watched the Brisbane City is in the distance, the intra-cloud lightning (lighting without thunder) lit the dark sky above creating wonderful colours.

The Himalayan blue poppy, is a flowering plant in the poppy family, native to China (Yunnan), Bhutan, North East India and Nepal, but I found it in a garden in Iceland. It grows 1 m tall, it has a blue flowers with a yellow centre, and it flowers in late spring. It prefers an evenly cool temperature and shaded conditions, in somewhat acid soil which remains reliably moist.

Formerly known as Longacre Square, it was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the newly built Times Building. The square is formed by the junction of Broadway, Seventh Avenue, and 42nd Street and it is the site of the annual New Year's Eve ball drop, which began on December 31, 1907, and attracts over a million visitors to Times Square every year, and one billion or more on digital media platforms.

The Court of the Lions (Patio de los Leones) or Palace of the Lions is a palace in the heart of the Alhambra. The Alhambra is a a complex of palaces, gardens and forts in Granada, Spain. It was commissioned by the Nasrid sultan Muhammad V of the Emirate of Granada in Al-Andalus. Its construction started between 1362 and 1391 AD. The patio is a rectangular courtyard with a marble fountain with twelve sculpted lions.

The golden eagle is the top predator in the Scottish countryside; it is a massive bird of prey that mainly hunts rabbits and mountain hares but will also catch foxes, young deer and large birds like grouse. It can be seen soaring high in the sky in upland areas and remote glens in the north and west of Scotland. Golden eagles have large home territories, nesting on rocky cliff faces and in trees where it builds a giant nest or ‘eyrie’. This polychrome wooden jewel stages the mystery of the Nativity of Christ. Above the portal, a mountainous, steep landscape is reproduced, with bushes, sheep and goats. The shepherds remain attentive to the angels who announce the news. Everything is done with great care, combining flamenco realism with a perfect idealization. This work was made when the Flemish artists of the fifteenth century were carving the choir stalls in the cathedral in the fifteenth century.

This is the name of the masterpiece by Paul Du Bois, which is at the Brussels City Museum. It is an allegory of freedom, and it was inspired by the Roman goddess of wisdom. Paul Du Bois used precious materials like ivory, silver and copper to embellish his representation. It is also a fine example of Art Nouveau and symbolism: the two major artistic movements in Brussels and abroad, at the turn of the 20th century.

The name can be either "waterfall of the gods" or "waterfall of the chieftain, in Icelandic. It is believed that the waterfall was named when the local leader Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland in the year 999 or 1000. After returning home from a political meeting he threw his statues of the Norse gods into the waterfall. The legend appears to be a fabrication, for there are no official records. However, a window in the main church at Akureyri (Iceland), tells this story.

'24 Hours in Singapore' is the mirror balls sculpture installation that reflects the vibrancy and energy of Singapore's urban landscape. It is situated in the Central Area, this artwork it is meant to reflect the intricate relationship between time, space, and the environment, creating a dynamic interplay of light and reflections that changes throughout the day. As you approach the sculpture, the visual display changes paralleling the ever-evolving nature of Singapore.

The mask is used by women during evening dancing ceremonies in the village of Gaulim on the Gazelle Peninsula. These dances were discourage by missionaries, but in 1973 and after almost 70 years the tradition was revived as a fertility ritual.

The Empire State Building was the world's tallest building until the first tower of the World Trade Center was topped out in 1970. The building is now the seventh-tallest building in New York City, the ninth-tallest completed skyscraper in the United States, and the 54th-tallest in the world. I took the picture from the rooftop of the Rockefeller Centre.
