:agree: AND a big thanks to Greg, Colin and Andrew for arranging those optical slaves and speedlight cables for me to play with.

Another big thanks to Peter for letting me play with his fisheye (BTW Colin, your D700 switched to DX coverage to give up that nice full frame coverage when we put the fisheye on it!)

That is the default behaviour. It can be switched off through a menu setting.

we were both very amazed by the coverage, but it troubled me that there was so much cut off in the viewfinder, then it hit me this morning as to how that had happened. I think we were both really happy to see that we were getting a full frame coverage with an unmodified 10.5!

A big thank you to all who attended. It was a great day, but bloody hot. So hot that some slackers figured it was better to miss the walk to the falls and avoid heatstroke  For future reference the falls walk while steep is quite doable for those of average fitness provided you make use of the ample seats along the way, but definitely better on a cool day.

Here is a group shot. From left to right in the image are:

Front row: TonyT, aim54x, stubbsy, Matt. K, christiand

Yes I realised this when I got home and looked at the pics. I forgot that I had switched it over for the 18-70. We did get the full view through the viewfinder though as you could see the lens hood etc while taking the shots.
