Ok, let me be a bit more explicit:

The exhibition opening is on the evening of Thursday the 9th.
I will be in Perth that day (haven't organised accommodation yet, am flying out the next day), and have a spare ticket to the opening to take someone along if there's interest.

The Perth activity here seems to have dried up a lot since I last came through this forum...
