Holy Rocks or Rocky Holes....

I found myself climbing through rocks around the harbour again (dont ask why as I dont know either).
I found this interestingly eroded sanstone.
I am trying new BW conversions with a bit of colour still in them.
Let me know if it works....and if it doesnt....!!!!

Hi Marty. This shot could make a good abstract kind of photo, but I don't think the black and white conversion suits it. I don't have any ideas on what you could do differently though, sorry. Some of the lighter areas seem to be washed out as well. What was the colour version like?

Cheers,
Owen.

Hey Owen,
this version has a bit of the origianl colour in it.
The sandstone had white patches which do look blown in the b&w conversion.

Hi Marty. I much prefer the image you just posted. I like the colour and I guess there is less contrast which looks better to me.

All the best,
Owen.

Looks like cancellous (the spongy bit) bone under electron microscopy.
