Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

As I continue my Californian oddysey, spent yesterday in downtown LA, specifically the Fashion District. Then headed down the I-5 to Anaheim for the quintessential American experience, baseball. Here's a few photos:

This one, proves "I wuz there!" (My son is next to me)

This bloke was as good as the baseballers. Mind you, he was only carrying fairy floss...

There's a story to this car. I hired a small (compact) model from LAX on Monday night. The computer system was down and everything was done on paper. I walked out to collect my $85 a week compact and voila, here's a brand spanking new PT Cruiser turbo convertible in space #145. "Are you sure?", I questioned the young bloke overseeing the operation? Sure thing he said, and before he could change his mind, I was out of there with a gleaming new turbo convertible. It was fun cruising the streets of LA late yesterday with the top down, but when we hit the freeway (which of course was gridlocked), the fumes forced us to get the top back on and off we went...

Some very nice images there. I love the rich colours and clarity you achieved with the stadium shots.

How long are you off shore this time?

Keep the pics coming :)

ozimax,
I got the same deal as you got few times once I was overthere!

Not surprised me at all.

The last time I was there (LAX), my brother in-laws works for Hertz at LAX, I just walked in and pickup any car I want @ US$35.00/ week back in 2002.

G'day Craig, over until 22nd June. Believe it or not I took these with a little cheap Casio Ex S600 bought on internet over here. Does a great job for a camera that is half the size of a deck of cards.

Take care.

Nice work Birdie, if you can get it! I actually could have taken a brand new Charger but with petrol at $3.50 USD a gallon I decided against it. There's no way these companies can be making much money on these prices, but then again, maybe they are?

Cheers.
