I also processed these in various colour saturations, but this tone of B&W seemed best.

The Leaves have Fallen (An End to Life)Some somber themed images from St Kilda Cemetery.
I also processed these in various colour saturations, but this tone of B&W seemed best. ![]() ![]()
Hi Pharmer, nice shots. Cemeteries are cool
![]() Can you provide some info for the last shot? Specifically, focal length, f stop and where you focused? I'm having trouble with mine getting decent depth of field.
Hey Barrie - great shots - I prefer the second - different courses for different horses

Owen, this shot was taken at 11mm, F8, 1/50 sec, ISO 160 In these cases I try to focus 2/3 of the way into the frame to maximize DoF for the aperture I have chosen. This generally means focussing on the most distant object you can see (in this case I focussed on the leaveless trees in the background) The leaves in front of me were just over an arm length away (I know from experience that F8/F9 at 10-11mm will give me enough DoF) Hope this helps ![]()
love the level of detail and perspective especially on the 2nd
both are very dramatic and surreal although i don't really like the greenish tone, could look better as pure b +W or a sepia
Barrie, i like them both and treatment suit the pics i think and well done.

Barrie, I looked at #1 and thought I like that treatment - seemed to work well. Then I went on to #2 and I really like this image. The composition is really good and seems to want to hold you there. Then I went back to #1 and realized that it didn't have that same holding power and I didn't like he composition but still liked the treatment. Would be interesting to see the second one done as the first.
I too like cemetery shots. Cheers Peter
