wow peter,
I think the first is outstanding. like the 2nd a lot also, 3rd doesnt do much for me. what makes the first 2 for me is that they present completely different views of often photographed stuff. what lens?? Steve check out my image gallery @

Peter,
#1 is magnificent. Mine didn't come out anywhere near as good as this. My only slight niggle is that the reflections top gets cut ever so slightly. THe symmetrical sod in me wants it even. #2 is a good shot too, and really suits the landscape view. #3 I can;t decide upon - I'll come back to it Matt
Steve, Matt - thanks for your comments.
#1 & #3 were taken with the 10.5 DX fisheye defished in DxO optics ![]() #2 was with the Nikkor 12-24 And just for Matt - I went back and recropped #1 slightly less: ![]() Peter

Stubbsy.
I like them all #1 - Like the re-cropped picture best. #2 - As Steve said. A completly different take on an often photographed landmark. #3 - I like it. Has a Venice like feel about it. When I first saw it I was half expecting to see a boat sailing up the middle. Well done! Mark
Wetlens
I really prefer like number 1, much more so then the other two but it would got #2 and then #3. While #2 is different to your usual shot, it just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.
Hi Peter,
I was wondering when we would get to see yours and you didn't disappoint ![]() The recropped version of #1 is better now. #2 is also great. #3 is maybe too busy on the rh side, too distracting for me. Looks like all had a great time. Sometimes the rain will be your friend as it was for the outing on Saturday. cheers, Andre. Stubbsy, I slightly prfer the 2nd version of #1 - think this is a great shot. #2 is my fav - an unusual take on the coathanger - love it.
#3 is another good shot but overshadowed by the first two. Cheers, Mick
Thank you all for your comments.

Peter, they're all superb.
There have been a lot of really good wet wheather shots lately. Cheers D3, D300, 14-24/2.8, 24-70/2.8, 85/1.4, 80-400VR, 18-200VR, 105/2.8 VR macro, Sigma 150/2.8 macro

Lovely work Peter. #2 is my pick for the way the lines lead the eyes throught the frame back out and back in. IMO #1 tends, whilst excellent in many ways including reflective surface colour, sharpness, to have the 2 flag poles hijack the eyes and it's only the strength of the central composition that manages to refocus the eyes back to the subject. Perhaps the fact that the flag pole reflections are not complete that help keep the eyes on track. I still like the shot there is collectively something very appealing.
![]() cheers marco
Holy crap Peter - very very good work!! You could begin to cut down your day job and take this up and get paid for it!? Brilliant! No.1 and No.2 are my faves!!

John, Marco, Geoff - thanks for your comments.
Marco - I actually did a version with the flagpoles cloned out but that in turn made the bright white blob of cloud on the LHS dominate the image more Geoff - I have a big enough head already ![]() Peter
