Back from the snow ...These are not my best, I was mostly there to ski and I doubt I will ever see lighting like <a href="http://www.sundstromimages.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=309">this</a> again!
But here we go ... View from the lodge ... <img src="http://www.sundstromimages.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=697&g2_serialNumber=1"> At the top of Guthega ... <img src="http://www.sundstromimages.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=691&g2_serialNumber=1"> Foot prints ... <img src="http://www.sundstromimages.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=693&g2_serialNumber=1">
I like these....... the second image is good but is looking for something a bit more..... maybe more contrast, to give it an edge
Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
I really like the photo which was in the link to your gallery. The ones here seem to have underexposed the snow.
The first shot shows how thin the snow cover is this year. Which lodge were you at? GSC or somewhere up that road by the look of it.
Thanks big pix! I'll have a play with it and post the results soon.
Thanks! it is one of my better shots! with these shots, I was trying not to blow to much of the detail, I guess I should up the contrast or exposure a little more.
It did snow on Friday, but the cover did not last long as it was quite hot the following day Just up the hill from GSC, I was at the Jagungal, my family have been members since it was built.
Really like the second Dave, not sure about the yellow sign though! As for the third, was it the abominable snowman or even Yeti tracks?

any snow image for some reason can't look bad ........ thats what i think anyway.
the first one is very nice, but the 3rd with foot steps and then the background hehe i like that. but the best one is the tree.... pitty of the stupid yellow sign.
My daughter and I are members of Brindabella SC (Kyilla and Tiobunga). Going up this weekend for the Balmain Cup ... (Brindabella, Tate, GSC, Cooma Ski Club interclub races)...I might try a few photos.. ![]()
Thanks ozimax! the sign is a bit distracting, there were plenty of yellow / red signs about with all of the closed runs and I didn't have much time left before I had to head back to the lodge ... that or my skiing / drinking buddies were about to clobber me for stopping to often to take photos! I'd say Yeti, I think snowmen have smaller feet ![]()
I agree ![]() some do look better then others though. ![]()
Unfortunately our club pulled out of the Balmain cup. I would love to see the photos if you do take some so make sure you post em! ![]()
Had a bit of a play with the images in capture nx
(so the results might be over done) <img src="http://home.exetel.com.au/norse_man/temp/snow1_nx.jpg"> <img src="http://home.exetel.com.au/norse_man/temp/snow2_nx.jpg">
