These are the first of a particular style I was trying to explore - a product brochure look (... I don't know I succeeded or not )

The bike is a BMW R 1200 GS (also on the want list )

A long exposure of the tachometer and rev it up... should look impressive with the lights on!!

really like number one. If I were BMW, I would probably ask you to clone out the reflection that is just showing. The reflection has the effect of not having the letters consistent.

Second one doesn't do much.

Last one is very nice colours. You got your focus just right here,

The 28-70/2.8 was just at home doing this kind of thing. It's one beautiful lens, and not a regret about the purchase decision.

I thought something similar at the time with the speedo - knocking the bike into gear while it was on the centre stand and getting the speedo cracking a bit... but then thought about it a bit more - $25k of bike @ 200KG suddenly dropping the back wheel & getting traction with photog aboard flailing camera and arms about .

The tacho idea would look pretty sweet if you got the timing and progress right (ie use the needle to build a gradient across the dial)

The lighting was all natural
These were all outside around 6pm (pre-DST) just on dusk with a fairly clean horizon (only a few trees, most likely the cause of the small reflection in the BMW logo in #1 as radar points out). Hand held, f/3.2-5 at ISO 200 for all.

Love the shots Daniel and not just because i own a BMW bike but these are nice and what a nice bike to have as well and yes i would be happy the way the shots have turned out.

Old VW's provide great photographic material, particularly a Karmann Ghia if you stumble upon one!
