Dave - all good but the IR one has a quality to it that is really funky. It looks like the town has been deserted and everone has left in a hurry for no apparent reason - great stuff

Thanks Geoff!
when we saw the bridge I just had to stop and take a few shots. The IR shots were much more dramatic than the others I took with out the filter. ![]()
garlino, I used a Hoya R72 IR filter and I used the "PRE" white balance which was previously set by metering off a brightly lit patch of grass with the IR filter on. Thanks Colin, I agree, but it would have been nice if I didn't have to hold an umbrella in my other hand while taking the shots! ![]()
Dave,
I really like the 1st shot here. I see a lot of people stop and take that first shot of the lighthouse, but I don't think I have ever seen it with the reflections on the pavement due to the rain. To my way of thinking, you have struck it lucky getting the rainy day. What's more it's often hard to get the brick detail and sky exposed correctly when it's bright and sunny. Nicely done. Mark

Thanks Mark, I was trying to get the reflections in this shot and I agree, the overcast conditions did make it easier to avoid blown highlights. Who says you can't take photos when its raining!
