This image is begging for MORE contrast and MORE saturation!!! Please repost when you've had a play!

Kris - there are two factors in play with this shot. One being your statement re this is how the colours looked when shot - this brings into play the second factor, saturation and contrast. Personally I find both saturation and contrast in this photo to be just about perfect. The subject alone demands that it is not over saturated as this would destroy the look and feel.
I like this pic just the way you have shot it ![]() Chris

I didn't mean to OVER saturate it, just add some more. Funny how we each have different opinions on one image ![]() I too like the image the way it is, but I think it'd be even better with what I suggested ![]() ![]() Geoff

Thanks Guys! Yep, everyone is different. I feel its saturated ok also - its just strange how the colors all came out , even the dirty moss around the step. Only thing I dislike is the door is a bit wonky!

It seems everything hinges on saturation levels...sorry BTW, I think it needs to be completely desaturated to BW!

I had a look at the image at work first, but now at home, on the calibrated and profiled display it looks so much better! I agree with Chris, leave it as it is.
If you don't live too far I could pop by with my Monaco OptixXR and calibrate your monitor. That should get you started, but in the long run you'll want to buy one of those colorimeters youself... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
I like the shot Kris and I am keen to see the other versions when they are up.
