Just out of interest, I did some PP on the bill, the writing, and the cappucino, but I don't know if it adds anything.

Still life cafeA few shots while at a cafe. I don't know how other people manage to take shots of ordinary objects and make them look fascinating. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks. I tried to fill the frame with the subject as much as possible, and throw everything else into the background.
I'm using a D80 with the standard 28-200mm film lens, which actually seems to do quite well, although it's obviously not professional grade (and I have no idea how to evaluate its bokeh or anything else). I tried to make the subject stand out with good colour saturation and high contrast. That seems to be the way forward.
