I wanted to work with tones (again) and try to get an 'end of the world' feeling to these.

An Appocolyptic PostThanks for looking.

The girl looks very cartoonish but maybe thats what you where trying to achieve, but definately very interesting.
Hi Dan,
Whilst your exposures look pretty spot on, to me, the PP treatment looks way over the top. Now, perhaps this is a difference of opinion regarding aesthetics, but the drama in the first one looks too fake, particularly the work on the model. And, the slight halo around the model in the second is a bit distracting. Seeing your previous work with the models, I find your more subtle pp work to be much better. But, like I said, that's my opinion. ![]() Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Cheers guys....well yeah i did go for the OVER the top look...i must say the full res versions do NOT look cartoonish.....it seams to be a resize thing.
NOT everyones cup of tea hey, but thats me.....lol ![]() Thanks again for the comments. Dan
I'm seeing the movie 300 tonight. This reminds me of the look they went out to achieve, but a little more colourful. You know - the real but not look!
