These are just a few from the session.

Hope this is just a tad different from the night blue style of photography I've been doing lately

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Kid photosRecently had to take photos for my sister's friend's kids. Who said working with children was hard? We just went down to the beach and I let them explore their environment. Obviously the girl was easier to work with as I could ask her to do things like jump and run around.

#2 is brilliant and so different from your usual stuff. #1 is a bit too kid photo/happy snap if you know what I mean. #3 is good, but not quite as strong compositionally as #2 Peter

Too bad! I can't see images from flickr as it's blocked here in this country. Sorry pal.
Nikon D200 | Nikkor AF-S 18-70mm DX | Sigma 15-30mm EX DG | Nikkor AF Micro 105mm 2.8 D | Nikkor AF 50mm 1.8D | Nikon Speedlight SB-800
Wayne, no 2 is a standout - compositionally, I love the line in the sand from the child to the person in the background, the framing is fantastic and the pp work makes it really work.
Well done. P Regards, Patrick
Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
