New Lens = Flower Shot (Macro)

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Hey,

Well it was my bday just recently and my good mate nogshale organised with some of my other friends and family to get me a
- Tamron 90mm 2.8 Macro (Canon)

While my i got it on monday i havent had a chance to really use it as my wife has just had our first baby (boy).

So here is the first real play with the lens and i can say that i have a lot of learning to do. But it is a great lens and i love it.

Let me know what you guys think.

Cheers
Ben

Poompy,

Congrats on the baby boy. Take heaps of pictures of him, they grow up so fast. My daughter (now 10 months old) did things for only a few weeks that were cute. We didn't get video of it as we thought she'd never stop.

Nice lens. A mate if trying to convince me to buy the same, would love to hear back when you've had more time to play. Your son will make a wonderful object to practice on as well. Try the eyelashes / feet / hands etc.

Cheers

Congratulations! I hope the mother is also well and you are both very happy with such a beautiful baby. I love how the baby instinctively holds the finger and the tenderness of the scene. I prefer this second image.
