Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I was hoping I could get some better shots of these beautiful creatures but they are less than 2 cm high and I have trouble seeing them with the naked eye, let alone through the tiny viewfinder of the D70. I am, however, mildly pleased with this shot as it shows 3 of these tiny animals.

Great Shot Andrew!

It's kind of like a game of "Where's Wally"!

Is this the same place you saw them last time?

Andrew - delightful subjects. I have never seen one in my diving - where were these guys?

David,

Yes, the same location as last year. This time I actually saw one with my own eyes. (I am far sighted and need glasses to read and for close work. This problem is compounded underwater due to the refraction of the air/water interface of my mask which makes everything appear even closer.)

Steve,

I'm not allowed to divulge the location but I can get you it is off the tropical Queensland coast.

I only wish I'd had more time and had fired off more than the 7 shots I took. :(

OK - secret squirrels then. Glad to hear it was somewhere in Australia.

That is a great behavioral shot as it shows just how well they are camouflaged. Well Done! The only place that I have spotted them is in the Solomons - different species as well

I couldn't find the little critters until I found their eyes. What wonderful colours you manage to find, Andrew. I think you should change your name to "Aquaman".

You are dead keen Andrew. This is a great effort considering you have a hard time even seeing them. Nice colours yet again.
