Great angle - fantastic sky - semi contra jour of the Ferris wheel - all adds up to a photo I like :)

I love it. Gives me a giddy feeling looking at it, which is just what it should do! I like the way the arc shape of the carriages leads the eye and stands out as main focus rather than the spokes of the wheel.

Thats actually French, "contra jour" means against the day... or in English... "Into the sun"

Yeah, I knew it was French, but all I could understand was "contra" being "against", as for the rest...I majored in rugby league at high school... :D

I have sat here staring at this shot for a few minutes and I get the feeling that the clouds are moving from time to time, however I have also been drinking beer at the same time. There is an incredible amount of depth in this photo, I really like it
