HEHE ... I've done some work in that yard before! :p
They get photographers - and train nuts - coming through all the time. Put on a high-vis vest, don't act like an idiot, and you're very unlikely to run into any trouble.
I know that location, but this must be behind fencing?? I'd LOVE to get in there with lights, and a model!!!
PM me if you have any tips to get in with some gear...
Nope. The whole place is completely open. You can drive straight in from either Dynon Road (Gate K) or Footscray Road (Gate E). They've got staff there 24/7 though ... http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... &z=17&om=1 Right in the middle are the two big sheds you can see in shot #1 ![]()
yeah u can drive straight in, and there were people there, but they didnt seem to care about me taking any photos. dunno what they would think about a whole lighting set up being used n stuff...
Edit: all this has made me realize i could go back there! Nathan

The best stuff is at the back of the main shed. There's a whole heap of rusty old locos/carriages. Some of them would make great locations.
