Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

From a recent trip. I would thoroughly recommend visiting this place if you ever get the opportunity.

Great images Geoff with #2 the standout here for me - I really think the reflected dawn light on the foreground rocks makes this one.

All beautiful landscapes Geoff. For me #1 and #2 are the pick here. Light and composition are terrific. Probably #3 is the weakest of the imags in the set but having said that it has a lot of potential IMO - seems a little flat and the horizon needs to be straightened. Looks like the islands are tipping into the sea. :) I think with a bit of fussing and tweaking (white and black points set, saturation rainbow, curves adjustment ets) will generate a really good image. Hope this is useful.
cheers

Nice, really nice. You have far better shots of it than I have. :) Number three with the massive cloud is my pick of the bunch.

While I like them all, I've gotta agree with Colin, the last is the one that catches my eye.

Fabulous images Geoff -- I like them all with #3 being the weakest. Similar to other comments on this one, it looks like it hasn't had any post work done on it but the rest do. Keep it up! Makin' plans for Lord Howe!?!
