Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Not something I do that often, but had an enjoyable few hours this afternoon with some delightful models. Got so many I can't even choose a favourite. Might have to get a hold of Professional Portraits software and have a go at a few of them. This one is pretty much out of camera - just a few minor tweaks in raw and CS4. As I have limited experience in this field would welcome some critique from those experienced in this type of photography and processing. Comments welcome from others also.

beautiful gaze and expression. lovely soft lighting. definitely lose the sunnies though. i'd also consider a slightly tighter crop on the top and right of frame.

Bob,
I'd like to see this cropped square, with the top of the image being somewhere around her forehead.
I'd also like to see a nudge more sat in this; pump the skin colours a little.
And speaking of colours, the wb may not be quite right. I think this one is a little too cool. Give this a little bit of a nudge towards the warmer side of the fence.

I have to agree with a tighter crop, and with gary about the cool colours....great work though, I'd be very happy to produce something this good...think it is time to go ask around for models and drag out the S5 Pro...I am almost finished my honours project so I will have a bit of time!

Will do Gary. Might need a couple of days before I can get at it.

OK - I had a little more time today to process another one of yesterday's model shoot pics. I have absorbed the good feedback and tried to encompass those suggestions in this pic. Would appreciate feedback on this second attempt.
