Lions having fun

Hi,

on our last day in the Masai Mara, we found this pair of lions mating. They weren't really interested in us or the wilderbeest and zebra that were running just above them.

Lions supposedly have to mate often, you can read more at the link below:

They did it three times in the 20 minutes that we were there!! :o :o

hehehe It looks like the chicky lioness is saying "Are you done yet? I could do with some chocolate."

Big guy! Those are some great behavioural shots. It's interesting to see the different colours in the landscapes as compared to Zambia. Great shots Radar. :)

The colours are certainly very different to yours. Zambia looks quite dry compared to the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara had more rain then usual just before we got there, so things were nice and green. It is also very open, hardly no bushland at all, just a bit along rivers/creeks.

Thanks for sharing these photos of these magnificent animals. Thanks also for the very interesting link which also explains the lion's grimace in the mating pic.
