had some free time this weekend, going through my dvd archives i found my archived photos from london sept 2004 shot on my trusty coolpix 8700. It has taken me this long to get them onto my site, it's still work in progress but here are the first few:

any Brits who know where number '15' is taken let me know so i can give it a title, it's my favourite pic of London.

Some beautiful shots there and well presented. Great work :D The shot of Her majesty's theatre brought back distant memories.

Very nice shots there Wendell. I love the tones on the street shots. Be interested to know how you PP'd them.
Good god I miss home. I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but I can't wait till I get back to London.

thanks people

most of the shots are just levelized as i shot at really high shutterspeeds like 2000, 4000 directly at the sun then i had to balance the levels out in photoshop to compensate for the dark images, the reason why i shoot so high is to get those dark shadow tones and clouds in a brightly lit scene without the benefit of a polarizer. I was lucky to get some sun but apart from those times it was overcast.

This collection of pics Wendell is superb, in fact they are better than anything you have done so far with the D2X and just goes to prove the quality of the lowly Coolpix and the photographer :D

A nice series Wendell...

Number 15 looks very familiar...
A larger version may help identify the location... There are a few signs in the photo that might give a few clues...

Number 8 is the Millenium Bridge

Nice collection of shots Wendell, at one stage my wife and I were going to have the weekend in london before flying to Boston (it later got canned for being too expensive..) Your shots make me wish I had got a chance to visit, plenty of interesting places to shoot.
