Owen. PS. This is the first time I've put frames on any images, what do you think?

A couple of shots from the Blue Mountains. Here are a couple of shots from my excursion to the Blue Mountains a week ago. Comments and critiques very welcome.
Cheers, Owen. PS. This is the first time I've put frames on any images, what do you think? ![]() ![]()
Hi there Owen,
I like the first shot the most. As for the frames, I think the outer black border is a little too thick...nice but too thick/dense. Cheers mate, nice images. Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Owen, you are renouned (at least in my mind) for breathtaking landscapes.
TBH, these fall short in some way... they're nice images, and I think the black frame really compliments them well; but they're not the "super awesome" I've come to expect from ya buddy. ![]()
Thanks for the comments guys. I haven't done any photodraphy in the blue mountains before (well not since I have been really into photography), so I thought I'd try a few different things.
Onyx, they are different to my typical shots that obey almost all the boring rules of composition, but that's why I put them up to get some other opinions. Thanks for the amazing compliment also ![]() Cheers, Owen.
Thanks very much guys
![]() Thanks for checking them out ![]() If you look carefully on the second image you can notice a few rain drops that were on the front of the lens. The D70 got pretty wet with that shot. Cheers, Owen.
Owen. Great Shots. I like them both, the first for it's simplicity and the second just has that really nice rainforest "feel" about it.
Great stuff ![]() Cheers

That first shot is great. I love the composition and the feeling of nature struggling up from the ground that it gives. As for the frames. Your name is way too big and adds too much white which is a little distracting. I think it would wotk better smaller or in a finer font or perhapsd in a darker grey colour. Peter

Great photos Owen . Really rich colour and as Shane mentioned good use of DOF .
The first shot strikes me because normally this kind of shot is done with a lot more DOF but this shot works really well as is . Cool .
