Hi all - went and played with the 1.7TC at the botanic gardens. I know next time to use the tripod (1.7 and 80-200 at full extension handheld), but didn't turn out toooooo bad.

Blacknstormy I have been playing with that combination lately. Even with a monopod I have found it necessary to keep the shutter spedd right up there.

Not easy to handhold By the way when I just tried to look at larger versions your host must have been down. I will try again later on.

The TC1.7 and 80-200 is a combo that I've been wanting to try ever since I got the 80-200. These pics seem to be pretty sharp... what shutter speeds were you using?
