Any Comments and Criticism welcome as this is the first time I've tried taking pics of rally cars with the D70's...

Great pics.

Not the sort of camera you want to be really taking to a Rally with no weather seal :)

Hows the sensor liking the red dust? :)

Thanks to limited access and the 400mm zoom I never got any dust on the sensor, plus hiding it under my shirt just after the cars went by seemed to work... Next time I might invest in a weather proof cover!

Thanks for looking!

Not sure how well the weather proof cover would work. A carrier bag after they pass or the technique you were using probably works best.

Scott well done mate, yes that dirt is a killer and it just covers everything.
I reconise 1 of those photogs as he was my shadow at the South Australian Rally, one with the Alum monopod doing a runner in that 2nd picture, anyhow great captures well done.

Cheers for the comments!

Makes me wonder why the photogs want to get so close when they are carrying equilavent or bigger lenses, but ohwell I didn't mind except when there were atleast 20 in front of me??? Thats when I decided to hit the road and go home for some beers!!!

Anyway there is always next year!

Cheers

Ilike the shots they are good.

How do you find the 400mm lens?

Do you think that this would be powerful enough for surf photography
