Some cropping used on the first image, otherwise as is.
Anybody have any idea on what type of bug?

some nice shots with the new lens.

looks like a species of cockroach.

best be getting the bugspray

Nice images Marc. I assume you're pleased with the lens. Were these handheld or tripod? BTW, I ordered a Sigma 150 macro and SB800 on Friday from Birdy. Can't wait to leap into the world of macro.

Used a tripod John

Still need to play around with different settings, i.e. light/flash, iso & speed.
I feel the images could be a little crisper, very happy nontheless

Nice one Marc - a good choice in lens and, like driving a new car, you will soon be churning out some magnificent macro shots like #2 :wink:
