sorry for the lack of thumbs, the gallery software I am using this time really locks the images well to avoid bandwidth leeching. Kinda messed with the background code to find a way to access the folder via the browser but the software returned the modes. mode of a file. There are three modes a file can have turned on or off: read ability, write ability, and execute ability. Each mode can be set for either the owner, the members of the owner's group, or all users.">mode of a file. There is a fairly substantial amount of the 'WOW factor' in that shot. The colours are fantastic, the lighting is 'electric.' i really like this one.

Great image.

this is an excellent image.

echo everything that has already been said about it.

Not convinced the large black frame it the best way to exhibit it though.

*laughs* I'm always up at 3am. I dont emerge from my darkened bedroom til at least 10am most days. This storm was just coming over Brissy as I was cleaning up before bed and rather than hit the sack I chased this storm till 7am. I have a few more shots of it at the new gallery

Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone!

I really like the way that it has lit up the really thick dense clouds to the left. Nice photo!

A stunning photograph! What you have captured will last for ever...but the moment itself was gone in 1/10,000 of a sec. Such is the power of photography.

You have to love how sharp the lightning is but also how much it illuminated the clouds!

Great work!

Thanks for all the great coments!

I've uploaded it as a rights managed image to fotolibra in the hope that some publisher might pay to use it. I'll update if I get any sales :D

Also planning to get a print made on Thursday at digilab. Cant wait to hang this on the wall at home. :)
