A pix from Indy air show Gold Coast hand held...... it is hard to focus on moving objects using a 500 mirror lens....... PP: Shadow and highlights to bring out the clouds and a little unsharp mask......

Thanks Big Pix another example of a good shot from a 500mm mirror, in this instance the background looks pretty good to me, and just adds to my interest in playing with this lens myself.

The background was enhanced using shadow and highlights in PSCS2.......

Nice shot BP, very sharp - I'm with you on the focusing on a moving target - it's good for a skill session !!

I agree with you both. With time and practise you will become better.

at the end of a pass over ........ or run......I find the 500mm mirror lens a lot of fun, on a par with my 12-24 Sigma, I quite offend use it as a walk about lens as it will give you a total different perspective of what you would get using shorter lens, and being quite small in size it does not pose any form of a threat or invasion of privacy, which larger lens can do..........
