A gift this Christmas season

We have press full of doom and gloom there is something we can do to fight back.

Another shot in a similar vein (Sorry) D70 hand held my arm 10 to 20 mm Sigma Auto ISO and everything else, it is hard to adjust anything one handed, I had to ask permission and as usual got some STRANGE looks. but hell who cares about those

I am 29 and have now donated 30 times

It's not really that painful and it's a MASSIVE help to mankind, sick mankind.

I work in the Intensive Care of a busy hospital and it's not UNCOMMON to RUN OUT of blood products for our critically ill patients - especially at this time of year...

Don't just think about it - book in, don't be afraid - the pain factor is more of an 'ouch factor' and lasts less than 3 seconds!

I donated for the first time in 1974 and I have lost count of how many donations I have made over the years. PS I am also a craven coward so go on it really does not hurt

Dug - next time you donate, you can ask them and they will happily (and proudly) inform you of your number of donations since 74 (I was -2 in 1974)

I have moved around Australia and donated well before computer records were kept ( Pre AIDS Hep C and CJD )

First donation we stood on a parade ground as the Warrant officer yelled

"All those who cannot donate blood, one step forward!"

You never step forward on parade.

So it was "OK Gentlemen! Right turn, Quick march, by the left, Donate"

I would have thought that they could do a one-off screening for it, but it seems too hard...

They won't take mine coz i keep going to malaria present locations. However, i have donated plenty of times and will continue to do so.
