This of my ($5 very nice) steak lunch on Xmas Eve

d70-micro nikkor 105/2.8- sb-80DX



Every time I saddle up the micro nikkor I get blown away by its sharpness... here is a 100% crop:

Mmmmmm steak..... That is one tack sharp lens! Another addition to the 'lust' list.

Not quite rare enough for my palate but the photos are great and their acutance and colour control provide conclusive evidence that I'd be getting the kitchen to do another.

Yum, yum. Had to buy a whole rump just to be able to get a slice as thick as I like it. Back on the diet now and so the rest of the rump is being donated to non-dieting friends.

Much the same as Walter, it's not rare enough for my tastes but it is a beautifully sharp image.

That's sharp! Love the detail in the fork, it has had it's share of battle scars. The steak might be a little overcooked but it's still got my tastebuds tingling, I hope you ate it before it got cold!

Seriously though, that is a nice lens. Very sharp. On my wish list

that lens goes beyond a photographic tool into the realm of a scientific instrument... the detail you can get that you would not believed existed is amazing..

As to the steak: it was $5 plus chips and they had James Squire AA on tap so I was a happy photographer
