Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

The bee is my favourite here, followed by the moth and the purple trumpet. But it was a pleasure viewing all of them!

I like the last one personally but I would only suggest adjusting the curves a bit to brighten the capture, I had a quick play and result as below......hope you don't mind Slider :!: May be a bit oversaturated after I adjusted...

It looks like a great lens :D :D :D

avkomp-I just went into curve adjustments, options and selected one of the algorithms until it looked pleaseing thenplayed with the actual curve but very very slightly.

If you have a good image to work with (as the case in this capture) you don't have to do much at all.

Mark they are eye catching images full of colour and life. What a lens? Close to the top of my hit list 8)
Love all the images but #2 for its sublteness and pastel hues (it also reminds me of some of Kevin's work and style) and the last one for the way it juxtaposition to the wire. :) Beautiful colours. By way of a small suggestion for #2 the little bit of petal in the top right could be softened a little more to make it less eye catching and therefore distracting somewhat from the subject. :)
On a side issue how are you getting the images to appear or do you use another host apart from pixspot? :(
cheers

Really like the soft, abstract nature of the second one. You'd have fun with that lens, great shots...

Nice images! Big, bold and in your face. The simplicity of the images means they have to speak for themselves and they do that easiliy. You need to get them printed and framed to complete the photographic cycle.

Thanks Marco, it is very nice lens (I still have it in my bag for a while on loan so more fun to come).

As OnePutt has already posted we use Photobucket. There is a free service which is pretty good but I subscribed for about $25.00 a year which gives me heaps of space and bandwidth. I just checked my figures and I have 85mb of images residing there and my bandwidth usage is around 900mb for the month. Great service :D

Thanks Matt. Just printed the first and the colours have come out a treat. I took a few similar shots but different colours. Mind end up with a nice set out of them :D
