after hvaing all my d70 equipment stolen i figured i might as well upgrade lenses so i bought a d70s and nicer lenses, I work on cargo ships and along with my passion for sailing around the lakes and the world i love to photograph them and here are my first few pictures from my new d70s



Vessel here is the stewart J. Cort 1000 feet long 105 feet wide loading early morning.

I view these pics with interest as a fellow sea-going sailor. It's nice to see images from the 'other side.'

I like both of your images. The first one shows just how long the ship is and holds quite a lot of interest. The second one shows how a large barge? is tiny against the enormous loading facility. Your composition is excellent. THe second image could perhaps do with a minor white balance adjustment as the colour from the harbour lights is just a bit too orange for me.

Thanks for the comments!, im only 19 and just gettin my feet wet, and to noticing any differences, not really, the camera seems to feel the same and all but i am very happy with the addition of a remot cord it works wonderful

Great shots, perfect exposure and interesting subject matter!. Sorry to hear about your stolen D70, but the upgrade even if not noticable is nice (less clicks on shutter )
