Incredible photos and not something we see on a regular basis here on the forums. I really enjoyed looking at them. Thank you.

Rod,
I have an Ikelite housing and 2 x DS-125 strobes - lots of light power for macro work. I can usually use 1/125 @ f36 if there is physically enough space to get the lens up to the subject.
The Pygmy's sure are hard to find. We were using a magnifying glass and fanning the coral gently to try and find a bit that moved. Near impossible to spot otherwise. The one that I have posted the picture of was 6-7mm long.

Steve - what stunning shots - and beautifully taken. I must say I'm taken by the mantis shrimp shot - almost something out of a movie..... and the pygmy seahorse and scallop .... well, just WOW

Excellent photographs! Not hard to see why some folk spend a fortune so that they can spend time underwater. Hope you are sending those images out to underwater and photography magazines for publication?

Steve,
Are you using the Ikelite TTL with those strobes? If so, how do you find it?
Ant.

Narelle,
I am with you, the Mantis is my fav closely followed by the scallop.
Ant,
I don't have the ITTL back for my housing but after the last couple of weeks I think that I am going to get it because I am really struggling to get consistancy in balancing the light in my Close Focus Wide Angle shots. 'Some' claim that the ITTL helps a bit.
For macro I haven't seen a 'TTL' system that works consistantly. It seems to just come down to bracketed exposures

Exceptional shots. I've done a bit of underwater film stills and it's hard work getting it all worked out underwater!

Awe inspiring stuff, and as Geoff said something that is sorely lacking on this forum (we have most bases covered)....
I can't get over the first one, the expression and general character in this shot seems straight out of a cartoon (I can think of a few off the top of my head), just brilliant images and show a very different sort of Macro world then we usually see! Please post more if you have some!
Cheers!

The local importers of ike housings are cape byron imports, I can chase up their website if you like!
I priced the housing recently for my D50 (same housing as D70 with buttons in different locations) at: US$1400 + GST for the housing and US$175 for the appropriate port for my 18-55 (not the most suitable lens).
Robboh,
Do you go by the name Hoppy in some other forums? I recognised the avatar.
