The usual thing around here is to take a pic with the best equipment you have at your disposal and hope that everyone likes it enough to get some good comments but yesterday i decided to do something a little different.
I grabbed a lens that i don't think i have even used yet and put it on the camera [ Pentax DS] before heading off to work and promised my self i would post up at least 4 pics after getting the best i could out of them.
This forced me into taking pics with a focal length that i may not have normally used and also forced me to explore photoshop CS2 to try and fix up the pics.

The Lens: smc PENTAX-M zoom 1:2.8 35mm~1:3.5 70mm.
manual only lens from the early 80's.
The Feel: The focus ring moves through about 220 degrees and comes into focus slowly so it is easy to use and feels nice and smooth, the zoom is a push/pull zoom using the wide focus ring.
The lens feels a little soft over distance as if there is a lot of haze around but seems fairly sharp up close.
colour feels a little muted.

Please feel free to comment on the pics, make suggestions on how to make them better or even have a play with the pics your self.
With a bit of luck i should learn something and some others may pick up some tips as well.

An interesting and clever experiment and the results are very good. The optical illusion is my fave of the bunch. I would never have thought of doing that. :)

I agree that the optical illusion is very creative and fun to look at!
