Here is a pic taken of the Helena Reservoir near Mundaring, Perth.
The photo was taken from a spot called North Ledge and has had the brightness/contrast adjusted and also unsharp adjusted, then croped a little.
What do you all think

Gday Gun, a fellow Perthite I see.
A great location up there, were you hiking?
in regards to the photo composure, personally id go for a tighter frame, making the waterway the core element and the green and blue of the sky minimalist, to give it more impact. (even see if you could get it so the trees are in the sky at all ... a 3 layer type thing) Also perhaps a polariser may have given a nice dark blue sky and some more sensual greens.
Seeya round.

The blues look a little bit unreal. Did you alter them at all? Perhaps you could have stepped to the right a little bit so that the water was continuous from the background into the forground.

I have had a play with this image to see if I can get it better, my skill with photoshop need work though,
The pic was taken on a day out in my 4x4 although I have walked the south section of the Bib track from Kalamunda to Mundaring.
Does this version look any better?
thanks

gunn to my eye the blues look oversaturated, which makes the sky an unreal colour.

i did a real quick and nasty crop (screen dump and paint) and maybe cropping portrait might work

the sky colour spoils all the pics but the composition is good.
