Well I thought I'd kick of my holiday photos with this pano (featuring my dad) and the Batemans Bay bridge. I have lots of photo's I'd like to share with you, but it will be hard to pick which ones... as always C&C more then welcome.

I think you've got this pretty right except for it lacks punch to me. I'd like to see it with a touch more colour saturation and a touch more brightness. And I only mean a touch more. Otherwsie it's well done.

Nice image Craig. I really believe the improved quality of your images are starting to show your developing photographic skills and techniques in their construction. This pano is illustrative of that quality. I agree with Peter re- fine tuning the image with a little vibrance in the overall image and colour, getting that 'pop' will really strat to make a difference. Perhaps even a little more foreground sweep and interest to drag the eyes into the rest of the image.

Nice shot Craig, beautifully sharp. Have you tried it in B&W because that might look cool too?

There seems to be a lack of over all color and lack of detail in the far shore and bit to much shoreline on the left as my eye keep going to this area...... a crop from the bottom would help

Doug : Thanks for the comments, having shared some of my unedited shots with you, I was happy with your feedback, I'll post more soon!

Birdie: We didn't take the boat out so no tuna (blue, yellow or otherwise) we did a lot of beach and estuary fishing, lots of whiting, bream, blackfish and a few flaties too!

Moggy: Since I first joined DSLR (d70users) I've had a thing for Panos, I rarely post them, but this seemed like a good opener... I have plans for printing a entire set for me wall... but am holding off so far


Stubbsy & Marco: Thanks for the suggestsion, this stitch was from L-Basic Jpeg stitched and uploaded, so no other PP work done... just for you I jumped on and tweaked the brightness and saturation a little, please let me know if I need to push it further...

Yep that's getting more like it. The 'pop' is definitely there now. Depending on how much PPing your keen to do even some selective and delicate, say 5-9% feathered dodging of just some of the mangrove trees to lighten them a little but you get the general idea There is always a fine line between just right and fooling to much with an image

you new shot is now a bit too yellow

I know it is a bit late now, but if you had been on the other side of the bridge, you would have got a nice shot out to the ocean, which might have given this a bit more punch.
Having said that well done on making this one work. Where were the crowds! This is BB during the summer holidays. Did you PP them all out

I'd agree with Bernie - it's now a little too yellow. Just bump the blue a little which will not only remove the yellow, but make the grass on the LHS greener. Otherwise, as Marco has observed, this now has the pop that it previously lacked.

This particular morning I only took shots from this side of the bridge, I actually shot this handheld so I could of gone for a quick walk and made it to the other side before the light faded. This was taken very early in the morning so not many people were around... trust me the rest of the time town was packed!

Thanks for the feedback, from memory this was a very yellow sunrise but your right, I'll have another tweak and upload a revised shot shortly... have a few other pics I'd like to get done first

Couldn't help myself, here is just a thumb of a different crop and boosted blues... this has less of the nothing water in the foreground... and a little less on the right.

Craig...... this is a very quick play using LAB color.........It would be a lot better working on the original file.........you will see that I have gotten a lot more detail in the boats on the far shore and an overall better color.....
