Kevin - I would keep the jug on the boil all day if you produce superb shots like this whilst waiting :)

My exact sentiments Chris
Kevin they are all super sharp and illustrative of super technique. I assume with the 200f/4 Micro? Gee I think there are a lot onb this forum that would do some dispicable things to get a hold of such a lens, and I think I'd be pretty close to the top of the list
The first has a certain appeal. I think it's the combination of contrasting colour, the OOF background and selective focussing. I'm left wondering, kevin, if the stalks were isolated from the backgound leaves, or even more specifically just the leaves in the bottom right of the image and retained those in the left side. I'm not sure but the combination of the factors above and some compositional, and even perhaps some OOF variation to get the right visual effect might be well pursuing. :) I think you better go boil the jug again my friend
Terrific images once again Kevin.
cheers
marco

.... visions of Kevin hanging casually out the window, all that beautiful camera gear dangling casually from one hand ...

:D :D

Bet you forgot about the jug boiling!

Beautiful captures - the colour and clarity is awesome.

How are you getting on with your forays into LAB colour?? I've had a very basic play but not achieving much. One pic I did was rather impressive, but just a fluke. Just need lots of time to figure out what I'm doing.

Great stuff.

Lovely images, Mitedo. Keep them coming!

Someone mentioned you used the 200/F4. Is this the lens you used?

Well all jokes about boiling jugs aside these are some great pics, all sharp and great use of DOF. For me personally I really like #2 and #4 above the rest, I am intrigued by the naturally created knot, the struggle of nature capture in these two, I'm also getting a little (and I mean only a little) blahza (spelling?) with follows and spiders.... still like them.. but I love it when I see something *new* :) (That said I'd love to take spider and flower shots like that, if I had the kit to do it).

nice shots, think I might have to drink heaps more coffee if boiling the jug produces shots like this.
