Gorgeous series Wendell. You guys were spoiled. Favs are the chain with the droplets and the silhouette of Glen.

Very nice.

I live close by the water so I really have no excuse to not get out there at the crack of dawn and shoot some images myself.

Great shots...... but they seem to lack color or saturation....... or was that the effect wanted.......

Wendell. I concur with Simon as to the pick of these shots. Very impressive work from you. Where are the ones that lead to you being awash with water?

I can't believe you've processed and posted these images so soon after the event Wendell! :) It's interesting for me that you chose to highlight the water in this series, going by the percentage of framage water received...

Where were those taken by the crashing waves' edge - for which you got wet and risked your camera getting wet?

hi guys thanks for the comments

Peter the pics i took when risking the life of my D2X suck
you know i only like a cetain aesthetics in my images for image selection as a set they don't work with these.

I am a bit inexperienced with capturing waves backlit by the sun in low light conditions so not really happy with what i got.

the others however would make nice location shots for future model test work

big pix, I liek the saturated look, ties in better, less bold more muted which all contributes ot the global feeling of the set.

Simon i think this is the first meet for 2006, you should start one up in the state you ar elocated in, make dslrusers.net history

onyx, fast because straight out of camera, i don't waste a minute

Love images Wendell. It was great to hang out with you again (although I missed your close call with the waves). You've put my chain water droplets to shame, where you using the 12-24DX for those ? Great stuff!

i used the 12-24dx as usual stuck with this wideangle until birdy gets me my walkaround lens 28-70 f2.8

actually i would of liked to get closer to the chain

I shot the chain with the kit, so have a different perspect
ive (the tripod was also a different height), I might post some low res thumbnails for comparison).

(I'd love to see some of the shots with me and the flowers, pity I didn't do my hair!)

Actually, it really doesn't matter which was, or which was not.

Please, all, no pissing contests of any kind.

Let's simply enjoy the images.

Second one is great... but I am a sucker for hardware in scenic locations...

Thanks Craig. Pretty good shot and I see a DB too. PS It's a weed not a flower.

Well I might try to argue semantics, that it's a flower and the plant it came from is the weed, but who cares... Made me look more interesting..

Craig you are right on both counts
